The Children’s Bread

Welcome to Redemption Church in Plano Tx. My name is Chris Fluitt and I want to tell that is the Sunday after Easter, and Jesus is still risen and we still have reason to celebrate.

Greetings to everyone worshipping with us in person in the beautiful city of Plano, Tx.
A big Texas welcome to everyone joining is online.

I want everyone to join me in Matthew 15 where we will read 21-28.

I want God to move in my life tonight.
I want God to move in your life tonight.
Who wants God to move?
Who believes God will move tonight?

Matthew 15:21-28 (NIV)

21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

The Children’s Bread

I want to talk to you about the Children’s Bread.

This story of Jesus and the Canaanite woman features the children’s bread. Did you catch it in the story?

Do we know what the children’s bread is?

What is the Children’s bread?

26He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

28Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Bread represents – Sustenance, strength, vitality, food…

Bread is earned by the work of an authority (like a father) and given the children.

Jesus speaks of a bread that belongs to God’s children.

Supernatural Bread

Do you agree Jesus is talking about Supernatural Bread?

The Canaanite woman asked for Jesus to do something about her daughter who is under the power of a demon and is suffering.  Is it supernatural bread?

The story ends with the daughter healed and the suffering and rule of the demon coming to an end.  Is it supernatural bread?

We need supernatural bread.

Quick reminded of supernatural bread in your Bible.

Matt 6:11 (NIV) Give us today our daily bread.

Jesus teaches us to pray for Bread straight from God.

Bread from heaven… Manna in the Exodus story.

John 6:33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

Jesus is that bread from heaven…

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

God gives bread straight from Heaven. Jesus is that bread.

Does God provide supernatural bread to His children still?

1 tim 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

*Luke 11:11 (NIV) 11“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for for bread, will give him a stone?…
Luke 11”13 (NIV) 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

If you ask for bread… the father gives you bread.
If you ask for the Holy Spirit… the Father gives you the Holy Spirit.

Supernatural Bread

In the case of Matthew 15, it is clear that the Children’s Bread was deliverance from an evil spirit and healing.

The Children’s Bread

Testimony

I have 3 things to teach you from our testimony and from the Word of God.

1 the spiritual often masquerades as the physical.

2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us that the devil masquerades as an angel of light.  The devil masquerades as  something he is not.

The works of the devil masquarde as something they are not. He often lies. His spiritual attacks often masquerade as physical ailments.

This was the case with my son.
This was the case with the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15 and many other stories in the Bible.

Are you experiencing a physical pain that you cannot seem to fix?

What if it is not physical? What if it is a spirit that is causing suffering?

2 Everything that is not subject to Christ is subject to something else.

Repent – Make everything Subject to Christ

3 Take authority by the authority of Christ

The pain left when the spirit left…

The pain and spirit did not leave upon repentance… it left when we took authority.

Repentance took away that spirit’s right to dwell there… but by faith and under the authority of Jesus we had to make it leave.

We need moms and dads who will take authority by the authority of Christ.

The Children’s Bread

I asked my son, do you want to be free?

I ask you the same thing right now. Do you want to be free.

Have you been trying to address the problem in the physical?

The Children’s bread is deliverance and healing.  This bread belongs to the children.

You are invited to come talk to God today.

Come repent. When you repent it takes away the enemy’s right to be in your life.

Come take authority. We will pray in Jesus name and remove the enemy from your life.
