Lord of ALL

Redemption Church Plano Tx

Welcome back to Redemption Church in Plano Tx. We exist to Love God, Grow Faith, Serve Others, and Go change the world.

My name is Chris Fluitt and I welcome ALL of you online and ALL of in the room.

When I say ALL of you, I don’t mean a few of you… I don’t mean most… almost all…

I mean every single one of you…

ALL means ALL

Surely we understand what all means?

If I had $10 in my wallet and I gave ALL of the money in my wallet to you, how much would you have received?

If I gave you $9, that would not have been all.

There is even a dark story about this in your Bible where Ananias and Saphira sell some property and claim to give ALL of the money back to God. But in Acts 5 we learn that they did not give ALL, they gave some, but claimed to give all. This did not end well for Ananias and Saphira.

ALL means ALL.

We can get in trouble for announcing that we give God ALL, when we only are giving some.
Beware the pride to get credit for giving ALL, when you are only giving some.

In Acts 10, the apostle Peter is preaching to the first Gentile converts and he says these words.

Acts 10:36 (NIV) You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

The message had been sent to the people of Israel… but it must reach beyond the people of a certain nationality and racial lineage. Here is why, because Jesus is LORD OF ALL.

Did Peter really mean all?  Surely he meant just a few… Jesus is Lord of most?

Jesus is Lord of ALL… Not just Jew… not just Gentile… but ALL.

Romans 10:12 (NIV) For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,

Lord of ALL

Jesus is Lord of All.  All means All.

In fact no one fulfills the requirements of ALL like Jesus.

John 1:3 (NIV) Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Colossians 1:16 (NIV) The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Colossians 1:16 (NIV) For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Colossians 1:17 (NIV) He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

He went to all the cities and preached…
It is said repeatedly that all the people were healed… great multitudes and he healed them all…
He fed multitudes… He fed ALL the people…

How is that possible?  Jesus tells us…

Matthew 19:26 (NIV) 26Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 28:18 (NIV) 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Luke 10:19 (NIV) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

1 Corinthians 15:28 (NIV) Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

2 Cor 1:3 God of all comfort

Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

1 Peter 5:10 God of all grace

Ephesians 1:21-23(NIV)  21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Philippians 2:9-11(NIV) Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Lord of ALL

We serve the Lord of ALL.

All power, love, grace, mercy, wisdom, knowledge, authority, comfort, truth…

ALL OF IT!  Not some of it!  ALL MEANS ALL!

If He is the Lord of ALL… then why would we look anywhere else for what we need? Only Jesus can provide ALL that we need.

-A drug high can only give a temporary feeling… Only Jesus can give ALL the fulfillment you are desiring.
-Materialism can only give you a false inflated sense of self esteem… Only Jesus can give you ALL that you need to live an abundant life.
-You can dive into your local library and learn some facts… Only Jesus can provide you with ALL Truth.

The Lord of ALL provides ALL

Matt 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 15:13 All Hope and Peace
Romans 15:14 All knowledge

2 Cor 5:7 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 Cor 13:7 LOVE always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Ephesians 1:3 blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift…

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care on Him for He cares for you

1 John 1:9 Cleanse us from all unrighteousness…

Rev 21:4 every tear he will wipe away.

He is the Lord of ALL, but have we been treating Him like the Lord of some?

Do we just give God some praise…? …some glory? …some of our heart? …some of our mind? …some of our strength?

The Lord of ALL is worthy of ALL

Do you have some praise to give Jesus today? Or will you give Him ALL praise?

Will you come receive some of what He has for you today? Or will you come receive all?

Is Jesus Lord of ALL of your life? Or some of your life?

Come invite Jesus to be ALL… All means all.
