If you have ever operated a copy machine you know to make copies from the Original. You don’t make copies from copies. You always need to find the best and most clear version and then try to copy that. It’s understandable that making copies from copies is never as sharp as copies of the original.
This is true in Christianity as well. We shouldn’t make copies of religious tradition, denominations, theologians, or councils or creeds. We should look past these copies and find the Original.
